A queen I think this is a Star Wars character. I know one of you star wars buffs will tell me. I did recognise her from Star Wars, thanks Nikki, that is indeed Senator/Queen Amidala.
Here is Professor A. Boffin A hard working Canadian Scientist (as seen by the Eatons bag, Canadian flag and Mountie doll), who has to get Scientific funding in this country by begging for it (notice the tin cup). After I had taken the photos of him, I walked up and dropped a quarter into his cup.

This looked a lot like a dementor to me (Harry Potter of course), but could have been any evil creature dressed in ragged black. Notice the fuzzy boom microphone of the tv film crew over his left shoulder. Detracts a bit from the evil effect, but oh well. I was a tad frustrated at the mike sock entering my shot just as I was clicking... Hence I sought revenge by taking a shot of the film crew... It gives you a good idea of how crowded it got in the dealers room at times too.

Well, its blue I'm told this is a character from Farscape of which I have seen very few episodes. I don't remember this character for some reason. I'm told her name was "P'au Zhoto Zhaan" and she only appeared in the first few episodes. This would expain why I did not recognise her.
Well, its yellow No, I have no idea what this is either. Its anime. could be anything. mmm I'm noticing a trend with the colours here...
Well, its grey Wait... this is what happens when the under privileged attempt to do costumes for a con I guess. Obviously he couldn't afford the green makeup, so he settled for grey. Actually, he made it part of his act on stage. It was rather more rude than I am going to describe here. If you are that pervy, you can buy the official Toronto Trek videos. So there.
Well, its startled I was sitting at a table eating, when this guy started looking my camera over. He kept looking and looking. I mean, you'd think he had seen a digital SLR before ... So I took the lens cap off, fired it up... and took a picture. I didn't think he'd be so startled. I mean, he saw me take the lens cap off, turn it on, aim ... What did he think I was doing? :-) In any case, the guy was interesting to talk to. From Halifax for the CON. A computer programmer. We talked about the climate in Halifax vs. Ottawa. It was a nice chat.
female wizard perhaps? This was a hall costume, I noticed as I was eating, and snapped a picture with her permission. Notice the out of character running shoes... I suppose she could be a wizard in the "Wizard's Bane" series by Rick Cook. ;-)
Irish SCA period costume The fierce wizard had a companion who was rather well done in authentic Irish dress of the 12th century. A rather rich woman too, as judged by the length of her dress (as she explained to me)A sailor moon hall costume I forgot which one. I think it would be sailor neptune with the green hair, but she did not have green hair. I'll ask a sailor moon expert (my daughter) and sort this out later. Ah ha, Its Sailor Jupiter. I saw this UFO in the dealers room. What a toy for chidren of all ages! Yes, I let the child in me out for 2 seconds when I wasn't looking, and bought one. Apparently, its much more fun when its filled with helium as it is shown here, it tends to float a lot more. The darn thing is huge though. Oh our cat is going to be having fun with it too.
Seen at a room party Stephannie was from Ottawa, now lives in Toronto, and makes these costumes..
Apparently, we get to see the Federation and Klingons at peace Wonder why we can't have that in the real world. I guess, like Toronto Trek, its all fantasy.

Ah, yes these two. These two came on stage in costume, carrying GAP bags as they were "Lord of the fling." or some such. *groan* Without the GAP bags as seen after the masquerade, they aren't as funny.
The U.S. army is busy confiscating WMD The U.S. army found out Iraqi WMD were disguised in the HUGO awards slated to be given out at world con in Toronto, and hence, they were busy confiscating all the HUGOs.. However, they were still concerned about SARS hence the mask.. (Derrin... again)
Spaceman Now, she had a really good story for the stage and now I have completely forgotten it. oops. Oh well, its amazing what you can do with duct tape.
