Right at front curb next to laneway. Courtesy of Bell Canada in the middle of winter. yay. Notice black wire snaking across the lawn towards house. It used to be hidden by the snow.
Black phone cable snaking towards house, and you can notice where they brought in their caterpillar for the foundation work. Scarred the lawn pretty good.
Whats left of the nice tree. A blue flag warning of the telephone wire, piece of knocked off eavestroughing.
Firewood. Nice and dry now.
Firewood next to pile of dirt and old concrete brick they removed from back of garage when it was still a carport. ugh. what a mess.
One of the concrete footings needed to be replaced with a newly poured one. You can see the remnants of it here.
More of the mess along the side of the laneway. Notice the straw they used for keeping poured concrete warm.
Alongside the newly built garage, pile of dirt at the back. You can just see the old shed behind it.
Another view towards front of house, laneway on left. Straw, dirt, concrete. yay.
Towards back behind shed. A lot of trees had to come out since they were too close to the foundation. One tree simply had to come out because it was in the way of the satellite tower and was also in danger of falling over house anyway.
What used to be the nice patio in the backyard. You can just see the footing for the satellite tower. Thats the shadow of the shed.
Some of the patio tiles were broken as they moved them. *sigh* They look heavy, I hope we don't have to move them back ourselves.
Towards back of lot. That black plastic thing is our composter.
Looking from back of lot towards back of house. Even more carnage. You can just see the footing for where the HF tower will go eventually.
Black Bell Canada cable snaking up the back of the house loosely on the ground. yay me. Where the patio tiles used to be. More mess. At least the foundation looks repaired. You can see the repair job to the right hand side of the backdoor.
Towards garage, base of satellite tower. Note our central air conditioner is no longer installed but is sitting in front of the garden shed. lovely. It will have to be installed before it gets hot and humid, as it gets in Ottawa in the summer.
Former owners had some concrete blocks at the back of the carport. Guess where they ended up? yay. Also some garbage from the back of the carport left here to sort out too.
Old garbage can, concrete blocks. Going to be fun to sort. I think we'll keep the blocks. They can hold down an antenna base or something. ;-)
Looking at left side of house from the back. I have no idea what the cardboard box is either. More dirt to clean up. They have all promised to come back and clean it up.
View of back where patio used to be.
Nice view of HF tower base.
All I can say is ugh.
